All proceeds from the event will go to support the family of Jacob Nobles, a 16-year-old student at Royse City High School, who has Leukemia and has been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of the year.
The 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) course will begin at FBC Fate.
All runners or walkers are welcome to participate.
Come join “Agency D3” at FBC Fate, and become a special agent investigating the truth about who Jesus really is. Vacation Bible School for grades pre-K to 6 will occur from 6 – 9 p.m. each night starting on Tuesday, July 8, and continuing through Friday, July 11.
Each night, kids will study the facts in the Evidence Room, vist the Break Room for snacks, play games at the Training Grounds, enjoy cool tunes in the Communication Hub, and create fun crafts in the Lab.
Members of the Department of Public Safety for the city of Fate were honored on June 21 at the 1st Annual First Responders Luncheon sponsored by First Baptist Church of Fate. In appreciation for the work they do in protecting and serving the community of Fate, both paid and volunteer team members were served a BBQ lunch and presented with certificates recognizing their work.
First Baptist Church of Fate proudly and officially welcomes Dr. Glenn Cook as its pastor.
After serving as interim pastor starting in March, Dr. Cook was unanimously selected as the new pastor of First Baptist Church of Fate in a special business meeting on June 1.
Prior to coming to FBC Fate, Dr. Cook served 22 years as pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Greenville. In addition to his service as pastor, Dr. Cook also teaches seminary extension courses in Greenville, providing bachelor’s level courses accredited by the six SBC seminaries. His wife Deseree works as a nurse for the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
